It’s back-to-school season, and what’s the best way to commemorate it? By having some cocktails. If you are a parent, you know the struggles you face daily when it’s time for your kids to go back to school. You must wake up early and prepare their breakfast and lunch. Sometimes you also must be the one to bring them to school. All these routines leave you tired and want to have some drinks in the middle of the day. But drinking midday can sometimes be disastrous, especially when it’s a school day.

During school days, the best option for parents is to have some cocktail drinks. If you are not aware, there are cocktail drinks designed for parents and as back-to-school drinks. Here are some of the back-to-school drinks parents can enjoy while their children are studying.

The Pencil Eraser

A perfect back-to-school cocktail drink is the Pencil Eraser. This drink is the best drink to erase the memories of the entire summer and prepare you for the new school year.

1 lemon cut into 8 wedges

3 strawberries, hulled, and quartered lengthwise

4 ounces simple syrup

6 ounces BJ Hooker’s vodka

1 ounce cranberry juice

How to do it:

  1. In a shaker, muddle lemon, strawberries, and simple syrup.
  2. Add ice, vodka, and cranberry juice.
  3. Shake well and strain into a martini glass.
  4. Garnish with a strawberry and serve.

Scientist Slushie

Another back-to-school-themed cocktail drink you need to try is Scientist Slushie. Since it’s already back-to-school, it’s time for some science fair content, and to go with it, you can make this cocktail.

1 ½ cup frozen blueberries and blackberries

12 strawberries

1 ½ cup lemon-lime soda

½ cup of Blue Bonnet gin

1 tablespoon of sugar

Mint for garnish

How to do it:

  1. Prepare a blender.
  2. Put all ingredients into the blender and blend.
  3. Pour over your chosen glass.
  4. Garnish with mint.

The Tardy Slip

When you wake up late, and your kid is also late at school, you better make yourself a Tardy Slip cocktail to remind you to wake up earlier the next school day.

2 ounces BJ Hooker’s vodka

4 ounces orange juice

How to do it:

  1. Pour your vodka on your chosen glass.
  2. Drink vodka.
  3. Follow it with the orange juice that is poured onto the empty glass.

Note: The Tardy Slip is like Screwdriver Cocktail, except that the orange juice follows and is not mixed with the vodka.

Exams require extensive studying to perfect the exam. With that, the All-Nighter cocktail is perfect.

1.5 ounces Giant Texas Bourbon

0.75 ounces lemon juice

0.75 ounces of hazelnut and caramel syrup

2 tablespoons coffee liqueur

How to do it:

  1. Mix Bourbon, lemon juice, hazelnut, caramel syrup, and the coffee liqueur in a mixer.
  2. Pour over your chosen glass.
  3. Enjoy!

The Bad Report Card

If you feel frustrated with your kid’s bad grades, make this Bad Report Card cocktail for yourself, and encourage them to do better.

1 shot Tuaca

1 shot Tequila

1 orange, juiced

1 lime, juiced
