It’s the fall season and what better way to enjoy the cold air than a good glass of whiskey. 

Whiskey by itself is as delicious as it can be but there are plenty of combinations you can do with whiskey. There are a number of different recipes you can try to enhance the flavor of whiskey. These recipes only show how versatile whiskey is and how the different flavors are able to get to a person’s attention. 

Here are the different flavors and mixtures of whiskey that you can try to recreate and enjoy by yourself or with a group of friends or family.

  • Whiskey Sour

If you want something classic with whiskey, you must try Whiskey Sour. It is deliciously sweet and tart, but you can still taste the whiskey flavor. If you are a beginner whiskey drinker, this drink is for you.

 

Ingredients:

1 ounces Giant Texas bourbon whiskey

¾ ounce lemon juice (fresh)

¾ ounce simple syrup

1 maraschino cherry for garnish

½ orange wheel for garnish

 

Procedure:

  1. Prepare your ingredients, a glass and some ice.
  2. Mix your ingredients in a glass, add ice.
  3. Add an orange wheel for garnish.

 

  1. Manhattan Cocktail

An iconic drink for whiskey lovers, Manhattan Cocktail is a traditional combination of rye whiskey, sweet vermouth and bitters. 

 

Ingredients:

2 ounces Giant Texas rye whiskey or bourbon whiskey

1 ounce sweet vermouth

2 to 3 dashes aromatic bitters

Cherry, for garnish

 

Procedure:

  1. Gather your ingredients.
  2. Pour your liquid ingredients in a mixing glass with ice cubes.
  3. Stir well.
  4. Strain and pour in a chilled cocktail glass.
  5. Garnish with cherry.

 

  1. Old-Fashioned

If you want a simple whiskey mix drink,Old Fashioned is what you need. It is made of bitters, sugar and an orange slice and can be made with different styles of whiskey.

 

Ingredients:

1 sugar cube, or 1/2 teaspoon sugar

3 dashes bitters

2 ounces Giant Texas ​bourbon or rye whiskey

Orange peel, for garnish

Maraschino cherry, for garnish

 

Procedure:

  1. Gather your ingredients.
  2. Put the sugar cube or sugar in an old fashioned glass and add bitters to saturate it. Muddle to mix.
  3. Add the whiskey and add your ice and stir well.
  4. Express the orange peel over the drink before dropping into the glass.
  5. Garnish with cherry.

 

  1. Irish Coffee

Are you a coffee lover but you also love whiskey? Then Irish coffee is the right mix for you.

 

Ingredients:

2 teaspoons packed brown sugar, to taste

4 ounces strong hot coffee

1 1/2 ounces Giant Texas whiskey

1 ounce heavy cream, lightly whipped

 

Procedure:

  1. Gather your ingredients.
  2. Put the brown sugar into a warm Irish coffee glass, a mug or other heat proof glass.
  3. Add the whiskey and coffee. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
  4. Float the light;y whipped cream on top of the drink by slowly pouring it using the back of the spoon.
  5. At this stage, do not stir, instead drink the Irish coffee through the cream and enjoy.

 

  1. Highball

If you want a simple whiskey drink that only needs two ingredients, highball is your choice of drink. 

 

Ingredients:

2 ounces Giant Texas whiskey

4 to 6 ounces ginger ale, or club soda, to taste

 

Procedure

  1. Gather your ingredients.
  2. Fill a highball glass with ice.
  3. Add the whiskey.
  4. Top with ginger ale and serve.

 

  1. Lynchburg Lemonade

If you are a fan of Tennessee Whiskey, this is the mix for you. Lynchburg Lemonade has a robust p[rofile with sweet and tart citrus and lemon lime soda that creates an ultimate summer refreshment.

 

Ingredients:

1 1/2 ounces Giant Texas whiskey

1 ounce triple sec

1 ounce lemon juice

4 ounces lemon-lime soda

Lemon slices, for garnish

 

Procedure:

  1. Gather your ingredients.
  2. Pour your whiskey, triple sec and lemon juice into a Collins glass. Add ice.
  3. Top with soda.
  4. Stir well and garnish with lemon slices.

 

  1. Fancy Whiskey Cocktail

If you want something fancy to drink with a hint of whiskey, this is the drink for you. 

 

Ingredients:

2 ounces Giant Texas whiskey

1/2 ounce triple sec

1/2 teaspoon superfine sugar

1 dash bitters

Orange twist, or lemon twist, for garnish

 

Procedure:

  1. Gather your ingredients.
  2. Using a cocktail shaker, pour your triple sec, whiskey, sugar and bitters and fill it with ice.
  3. Shake well.
  4. Strain and pour into a chilled cocktail glass.
  5. Garnish with orange or lemon twist.

 

  1. Sazerac

If you are a fan of rye whiskey and you want a drink to accentuate its taste, this is what you should choose. 

 

Ingredients:

1 sugar cube

3 dashes bitters

2 ounces Giant Texas rye whiskey, to taste

1/4 ounce absinthe, or anise liqueur

Lemon twist, for garnish

 

Procedure:

  1. Gather your ingredients.
  2. Use an old fashioned glass and fill it with ice to chill as you prepare the rest of the shrink.
  3. In a mixing glass, use your bitters to soak the sugar cube and muddle to crush it. Add the Rye whiskey.
  4. Discard the ice from the glass and rinse it with absinthe and discard.
  5. Pour the whiskey in the glass and squeeze the lemon twist to release the essence. Garnish the lemon twist.

 

  1. New York Sour

If you want a twist with whiskey sour, try to make a New York Sour.

 

Ingredients:

2 ounces Giant Texas rye whiskey, or bourbon

1 ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice

1/2 to 3/4 ounce simple syrup, to taste

1/2 to 3/4 ounce dry red wine

 

Procedure:

  1. Gather your ingredients.
  2. Using a cocktail shaker, 
  3. In a mixing glass, use your bitters to soak the sugar cube and muddle to crush it. Add the Rye whiskey.
  4. Discard the ice from the glass and rinse it with absinthe and discard.
  5. Pour the whiskey in the glass and squeeze the lemon twist to release the essence. Garnish the lemon twist.

 

  1. Whiskey Tonic

One of the simple whiskey drinks but is often overlooked.Try recreating one for a refreshing drink.

 

Ingredients:

2 ounces Giant Texas whiskey

4 to 6 ounces tonic water, to taste

Lemon wedge, for garnish

 

Procedure:

  1. Gather your ingredients.
  2. Fill a highball glass with ice and pour the Irish whiskey.
  3. Top with tonic water and stir.
  4. Garnish with a lemon wedge and serve.
